Trevor Pode and Adam Jonak shared the Midwest Jr. Hockey League scoring spotlight on Wednesday.

Pode potted four goals as the visiting Motor City Monarchs cuffed the Detroit Fighting Irish 7-2.

Jonak, meanwhile, drew an assist on Pode’s third goal of the game to set a new MWJHL single-season scoring record with 105 points.

Nick Murphy, formerly of the Soo Firehawks, posted a previous-high 104 points during the 2012-2013 season.

Jonak’s 105 points that top the MWJHL scoring chart this season are 31 more than his teammate, Pode.

Jonak has 48 goals, 57 assists, 105 points. Pode is next with 31 goals, 43 assists, 74 points.

Wednesday’s win for Motor City extended its second-place lead over third-place Detroit to six points though the Fighting Irish do have three games in hand.
